The Taxback Group used Euro 2016 as inspiration for its latest corporate social responsibility initiative.
Ireland has been well and truly gripped by Euro 2016 fever and The Taxback Group got into the spirit by organising a penalty shoot-out in aid of Enable Ireland.
The event, which took place on last Friday, was the brainchild of one of our Taxback Group colleagues, Edel O’Gorman. Edel could see how much everyone was enjoying the Euro matches and decided to bring the fun to our doorstep with a simple but engaging idea. Local businesses in Kilkenny were invited to put together teams to enter a Penalty Shootout competition.
A total of 10 teams from various neighbouring businesses took part, resulting in 100 people playing while many more watched the action on a glorious sunny day.
Kilkenny City Mayor, Patrick O’ Neill, came along to join the fun on the day. Mary Kenny of Enable Ireland said: “We were delighted when The Taxback Group came to us with this idea and with the other companies in the business park on board. We have a strong relationship with The Taxback Group for the last few years and are delighted they’ve chosen our charity to benefit from this event.”
It was a very successful event so thanks to Edel and everyone else who helped make it such a success.
