Earlier this month, we donated $5,000 to the Greenheart Club to provide travel scholarship opportunities to its members.
Greenheart is dedicated to the development of a global community living a sustainable life in alignment with nature. They work towards this goal through their array of programmes which promote personal development, fair trade, cultural exchange, volunteerism and environmentalism.
The Greenheart Club arranges trips for high school exchange students to all corners of the US every year. The trips include a mix of tourism and volunteer opportunities where international students also have the chance to interact with other exchange students, share their experiences and learn more about their host country. Their trips have ranged from the Rocky Mountains to Hawaii, and with our donation they were able to visit Washington, DC and New York City.
Each year, we donate €70,000 to charitable donations through our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Initiative, and this year, we are donating to organisations that centre their fundraising efforts on the theme of ‘play’. Earlier in the month we donated money to the Foróige DRUM Youth Centre in Kilkenny, who are collaborating with the local council to create a piece of public artwork, and we were only too happy to donate to the Greenheart club as well.
Our ongoing CSR programme is set to expand in the coming years, specifically expanding into the U.S to encompass intercultural education. We are currently in talks about an educational initiative that will contact young people from diverse cultures and are happy to donate to the Greenheart Club to help them with the realisation of their corresponding mission. We hope that we can continue to support them in the future to assist them in helping young people to travel to spectacular locations and help people along the way.
