Chambers Ireland Awards

25 September 2009

Taxback.com last night attended the 2009 Chambers Ireland’s President’s Awards for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Companies from around Ireland and abroad attended the event to celebrate socially and environmentally responsible business. We were shortlisted for Best International CSR Programme for our International Community Outreach Programme.

Taxback.com’s community outreach programme was set up in 2007 to enable our staff around the world to engage in local charity projects that will bring long term benefits to those most in need in their local communities.

Our projects this year have included sponsoring 2000 children’s tickets for the Kilkenny Arts Festival in Ireland, sponsoring a gala dinner to raise €35,000 for children with cancer in Bulgaria and contributing US$10,000 to the American Ireland Fund.

In October we will be launching two new projects in Slovakia and Korea.

Taxback.com Community Outreach Co-ordinator Janine Bennetts said it was fantastic to be recognised amongst so many other worthy projects and initiatives.

“Thanks to all our staff worldwide whose enthusiasm for helping in their local community has made our programme such a success,” Bennetts said. “We look forward to developing a number of new projects in the coming months and we hope our outreach programme will continue to help improve the lives of those in need.”
