Kilkenny Festival Success

19 August 2009

The Kilkenny Arts Festival finished on the weekend and was a huge success with visitors up 25% on last year.

Taxback.com sponsored all children’s tickets to the event this year – enabling 2000 local kids to have free attendance.

The festival, which ran from August 7-16, included a huge variety of family arts events such as Italian fairytales, interactive rhythm workshops, creative dance puppetry and story-telling.

Taxback.com CEO Terry Clune said he was delighted the company had been able to contribute to the success of the festival.

“Taxback.com chose to sponsor this event because we wanted to help local families who in these economic times might not have the extra money to attend something like this,” Clune said. “The festival has been a great success and we are happy to have been able to give thousands of children the opportunity to experience it.”

Taxback.com’s Kilkenny Arts Festival sponsorship is part of our International Community Outreach Programme.
