Taxback.com makes a donation to Cancer Research

04 July 2012

People

At taxback.com, we take our Corporate Social Responsibilities very seriously. We choose our charities carefully and try to benefit a range of different charities across the countries in which our offices are built.

The Cancer Clinical Research Trust carries out pioneering work within improving treatment for cancer patients. The development of new treatments requires integrated research, involving laboratory scientists and hospital-based clinical investigators, all of which cost a huge amount of money.

We recently presented Professor Crown, Oncologist and Director of Cancer Clinical Research Trust with a cheque for €5000 to go towards the valuable work that the charity does. With one in three people affected by cancer, this was a charity that The Taxback Group staff members unanimously wanted to support.

Cancer Clinical Research Trust is also holding a sponsored 5k walk on 16th September 2012. Starting at Bray, walkers can enjoy the wonderful views along the cliff to Greystones. A courtesy bus will then bring the walkers to The Glenview Hotel where they will be joined by Professor Crown for a complimentary BBQ. Sponsorship cards and full details are available by emailing Cliffwalk12@gmail.com or by calling Catriona on 087 2646574. A lot of us hope to do the walk so come and say hello on the day!
