Taxback.com raises money for O’ Neill Centre

28 March 2013

Enable Ireland's O'Neill Centre On Friday March 15th as part of our ongoing CSR initiative, the taxback.com team in Kilkenny dressed in green to raise money for Enable Ireland’s O’ Neill Centre.

In a tribute to the St. Patrick’s Day weekend, staff members donned their finest green attire – from sporting a green wig to dressing head to toe in green – and donated €2 each towards the cause. A great day was had by all and the team successfully raised €250.

The O’ Neill Centre provides therapy, day services, guidance and support to children under 18 with physical, developmental, sensory and intellectual disabilities and their parents, both in their centre and at home. Currently, 103 children attend the centre, based in Kilkenny. Their ability to provide these valuable services relies on the charitable donations they receive throughout the year.

They are part of Enable Ireland, who provides free services to children and adults with disabilities and their families. They cover all areas, from physical and social development, to independent living and supported employment. Currently they operate in 14 countries, and as demand for their services continues to grow, they need ongoing financial support through fundraising.

Despite cuts in their HSE grant, and challenges raising money in these difficult economic times, the O’ Neill Centre remains positive – their total fundraising target for this year is €170,000. We at taxback.com were glad to be a part of this fundraiser and look forward to helping the O’ Neill Centre reach their fundraising target for 2013.
