Taxback.com runs for Jack and Jill

07 April 2014

Yesterday, members of staff from Taxback.com ran in the 12th annual Great Ireland Run to raise money for The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation.

The 10km race, which took place on a gloriously sunny day in Dublin’s Phoenix Park, drew over 8,000 people this year, including hundreds of professional athletes for the elite race and youngsters for the Spar Fun Run.

30 people from Taxback.com and other companies in the Taxback Group ran the race. While most of them wouldn’t consider themselves professional athletes, their training definitely paid off as several people clocked in at times under an hour.

The overall male winner was Japheth Korir of Kenya who ran the race in a total time of 29:12, while Polish woman Iwona Lewandowska took the title of women’s winner with a time of 33:39.

We’re delighted to have raised much-needed funds for the Jack and Jill Foundation and would like to congratulate everyone who took part on the day.
