The Taxback Group takes gold for second year running

10 March 2014

We are delighted to announce that The Taxback Group won a Gold Standard Award in the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards on Friday evening. The company was first recognised as a Best Managed Company back in 2010 and was first awarded the gold standard last year.

The Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards Programme, in association with

Barclays Bank Ireland, recognises indigenous Irish companies across Ireland which are operating at the highest levels of business performance.

An independent judging panel measured company performance by looking at a broad range of criteria including strategy, capability and management performance across all key functions of the business. The winning companies’ achievements were celebrated at a gala ball on Friday.

Speaking about the award, CEO Fidelma McGuirk said “It’s a great honour to win a Gold Standard Award. We’re delighted to be recognised amongst other top Irish businesses.”

“The Best Managed award is recognition that our client-focused approach to business is working. Since winning the award for the first time in 2010, we have continued to review how we operate and how we can fine-tune or add to what we offer. This year we have rolled out a new service for contractors and extended our global mobility service.”

Speaking at the event, An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, said: “It’s great to see so many indigenous Irish companies achieving this best in class standard and a good sign we can achieve the aim of becoming the best small country in the world for business. Companies like the award winners are the job creators who are crucial to our economic recovery.”

Brendan Jennings, Managing Partner, Deloitte and judging panel member was similarly positive about the awards: “As the Irish economy continues to strengthen the outlook for the winning companies is extremely positive. They have all demonstrated an exceptional ability to innovate and grow.”
