For Irish PAYE tax refunds we charge 10% + handling fee of the refund, subject to a minimum processing fee of €40 + handling fee.

?Do I need to file an Irish tax return?
If you earn income in Ireland outside of your income as a PAYE employee, you may need to declare it by filing a self-assessed tax return by 31st October.

If you were paying rent for private rented accommodation under a qualifying rental agreement on 7th December 2010, you may be entitled to a rent credit.
The rent credit was abolished for applicants who weren’t paying rent under a qualifying rental agreement on 7th December 2010.

?Can I claim back tuition fees?
If you’re paying tuition fees in respect of certain third level undergraduate or postgraduate courses or certain language or IT courses you may qualify for tax relief. It will depend on the course of study and institution.
Revenue disregards a certain amount of the qualifying fees in respect to each claim. For example, for a full-time course in 2015 the first €3,000 is disregarded from the qualifying tuition fees.
Fees for private colleges can be well above the level disregarded, which could mean a valuable tax credit.

The incapacitated child tax credit can be claimed by a parent or guardian if they have a child who is permanently incapacitated either physically or mentally from maintaining himself or herself.
To qualify, the child must have become incapacitated before turning 21 or, if older than 21, have been in full-time education or training for a trade or profession for a minimum of two years when they became permanently incapacitated.

?I’m a one parent family – can I claim tax credits?
The One Parent Family Tax Credit was abolished with effect from 31st December 2013 and replaced by the Single Person Child Carer Credit.
The Single Person Child Carer Credit (SPCCC) is a tax credit for people who care for children on their own and came into effect from 1st January 2014.
It’s generally awarded to the person with whom the qualifying child lives with most of the year. This person is called the Primary Claimant.
The Primary Claimant can choose to surrender their entitlement to the credit and name a qualifying Secondary Claimant if that person lives with the child for more than 100 days in a year.

The Universal Social Charge (USC) was introduced in Ireland in 2011 to replace the Health & Income levies.Your income will be exempt from USC if it is less than:• €13,000 in 2019, 2018, 2017 and 2016• €12,012 in 2015

?What’s a P45?
Your P45 is the official tax form you get from your employer when you finish working for them. It outlines your earnings and amount of taxes you paid for that employer. If you leave your job to start another one in Ireland, you'll need to give your P45 to your next employer.

Your P60 is the tax certificate you receive from your employer in January after the tax year ends. It shows your earnings, tax paid in that tax year.
